Softarama to announce Seniorama

Softarama Systems Launches Seniorama -- User Friendly OS for Seniors

added on November 11th 2010

Softarama, creator of smart software applications, has announced plans to release Seniorama™, an innovative senior-friendly user interface operating system that enables the elderly and the disabled to utilize basic computer applications such as Email, Internet, Photo Gallery, Skype™ and more. Softarama is the company behind Captain Optimizer, Registry Commander, Privacy Sentinel, Impassable and other useful software utilities.

The real impetus to create Seniorama™ stemmed from the company’s co-founder and CTO, Mr. Gilad Manor, whose father had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The notion that people who experience physical or mental limitations could benefit from an easy-to-operate PC and the lack of an existing solution led him to the development of Seniorama™.

Seniorama™ transforms the PC into an intuitive, easy-to-use machine, from start-up to shutdown, in a way that is suited for non-computer-savvy seniors and anyone who may have visual problems, learning difficulties, cognitive impairment or, unfortunately, a neurological disease of any sort.

Seniorama™ users can open and operate various PC applications that allow them to communicate with friends and family. Among these applications: Email, Skype™, Internet Browser, online games and more. The program presents large one-click icons, on-screen instructions, large fonts and PC settings on a single screen.

"Seniorama is a solution for those who value their freedom and independence", says Eran Yessodi, CEO and co-founder, “In a world where everyone is routinely connected to social networks, emails and video chats, we have created a program that won’t leave anyone behind.”
